RABIA KASHMIRI

Rabia Kashmiri is a Barrister-at-Law (UK, non-practising) and an Advocate enrolled with the Kashmir Bar Council (AJK, Pakistan). She holds an undergraduate law degree and a Master of Laws (LL.M.), and has completed the Bar course in England and Wales.
Her professional experience spans law and public policy. She has served as a policy advisor within the UK government on matters relating to the criminal justice system, and has worked within the courts and tribunals, contributing to the functioning and development of legal processes.
In 2016, she founded a women’s rights initiative, reflecting a sustained engagement with questions of justice, representation, and institutional accountability.
Her work focuses on law, governance, and political development in Pakistan, with a particular interest in the relationship between legal institutions and the exercise of state power. This includes engagement with issues of rights, accountability, and structural inequality, particularly in areas such as women’s rights, the operation of blasphemy laws, access to education, and child labour.
